Taylor Woman Charged With the Death of Neillsville Man

Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 -- 9:03 AM

-A Taylor woman has been charged for the death of a Neillsville man.

Back in October of 2012, 26-year-old Jesse Rauk of Neillsville was killed when he collided with a motor vehicle driven by 25-year-old Randi Rupnow on Highway 12/27 in Jackson County.

Interview witnesses initially told authorities that Rauk was traveling well above the speed limit and he collided with Rupnow when she turned into a private driveway. Rupnow said she never saw the motorcycle.

After an investigation, authorities determined that the road was flat and there was an excellent sightline and the crash was caused be Rupnow?s decision to turn into the path of the motorcycle.

Rupnow has a homicide by negligent driving charge filed against her.
