One Person Killed as a Result of a Two Vehicle Accident Near Thorp

-A two vehicle accident in Clark County resulted in the 9th traffic fatality for the county.On Monday, November 18th, the Clark County Sheriff?s Department responded to a two vehicle accident that occurred around 10:15pm on Highway 73 about one half mile north of Pine Road in the Township of Thorp.
According to the department, 49-year-old David Prokopiak was driving south on 73 when he struck a truck and cattle trailer that had pulled out of a driveway being operated by 29-year-old Jonathan Loomis of Altoona.
Prokopiak was flown to a hospital, but he died from his injuries, yesterday, December 1st. Loomis was not injured in the accident.
Speed and alcohol did not appear to be factors in the incident.
