Mosinee Teen Appears in Marathon County Court for Crime Spree

-A Mosinee teen made an appearance in Marathon County Court on Thursday for his part in a crime spree that spread between three counties.Nicholas Nesbitt, along with two other teens, Sawyer Wirkus and Garett Niggeman, allegedly stole two vehicles, attempted to steal two more, stole a gun and burglarized booth a cabin and a shed between Wood, Taylor and Marathon Counties.
The charges against all three include burglary with a dangerous weapon, theft and criminal damage to property. All three are free on signature bonds and they have charges pending in the three counties. The boys have made several court appearances in the counties since they were charged with the crimes.
During Nesbitt?s court appearance, he waived a preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to the charges in Marathon County. He will appear in Marathon County Court again in January for a Pre-trial Conference. At that time, he will either be bound over for a jury trial or a plea deal will be reached.
