Budget Items from Owen City Council Meeting

-Budget items were discussed at the Owen City Council Meeting held on October 22nd.Mark Renderman, Administrator for the Owen-Withee Community Fire District was present to explain the 2014 District Budget. The 2014 assessment to the City of Owen will be $24,500. Also the District asked the City to set up an equipment fund for $2,000.
City Clerk Terri Ernst reported that the Personnel Committee held two meetings regarding the city budget and a Finance Committee meeting was also held.
Resolution #2013-30 was approved which amended the 2013 Budget by an increase of $4,339 for curb and gutter outlay. The council also approved the overtime report and request that a Comp. Time report be prepared for the 4th quarter as well.
A low bid came from Brubaker to complete the roof repairs in the Mill Pond Park. The color chosen was rural red with two eagle weather vanes.
