Granton School Board's Budget Hearing and Annual Meeting

-The Granton School Board held a Budget Hearing and their Annual Meeting on Monday evening.During the Budget Hearing three items were presented including a reading of the 2012-2013 budget, a presentation of the 2013-2014 Proposed budget, and a presentation of Fund 73 Employee Trust Account.
The Annual Meeting began right after and a tax levy of $1,129,749, which includes approximately 5% less from the present levy, was approved. They also approved the $915,817 in the General Fund, or Fund 10, approved the $183,932 in the Fund 39, or Debt Retirement, and $30,000 in the Community Service Fund or Fund 80.
A resolution to keep school board salaries at the present level was also approved as was a resolution authorizing the school board to provide a daily milk break for grades 4K ? 5th if a milk program is offered by the state of Wisconsin.
Finally, they approved the resolution to allow the school board to use short term borrowing for cash flow purposes.
