Motorcycles colide in Wood County

Wood County authorities are investigating a collision between two motorcycles.The accident happened Saturday afternoon in the township of Cranmoor east of Highway 54 on County Road D. A group of motorcycles was riding east on County D when one of the cycles attempted to pass several others. The passing cycle struck the rear wheel of another and caused the driver to lose control. The driver of the passing cycle was airlifted to Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids. A passenger was also transported to Riverview by ambulance. The driver of the struck motorcycle was not injured.
The names and conditions of the individuals involved are not being released at this time.
