Coronavirus Numbers for March 5th

For local coronavirus numbers:

Clark County has seen a total of 3,159 positive incases, an increase of one case over yesterday.  Of the total number of cases, 20 are currently active.  Clark County has had 57 people die from the virus.

The state has seen a total of 565,808 positive cases (an increase of 677 over the previous day) and 6,470 deaths, an increase of 12 over the previous day.  Of the positive cases, 26,330, or 4%, have been hospitalized.

More than 548,000 Wisconsin residents have finished their vaccine series for COVID-19.  According to preliminary state Department of Health Services’ data, there have been 548,343 Wisconsinites fully vaccinated, or have received both doses of the COVID-19 shot, to date.  DHS notes that 1,568,329 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine has been administered in all.

In total, Chippewa has seen 7,065 positive and 93 deaths.

Eau Claire has seen 11,058 positive and 105 deaths.

Jackson has seen 2,583 positive and 23 deaths.

Marathon has seen 13,661 positive and 181 deaths.

Taylor has seen 1,766 positive and 21 deaths.

Wood has seen 6,678 positive and 74 deaths.
