Clark County Community Foundation Being Proposed

Many times, in order to receive financial grants, or other forms of assistance, groups or events must be a tax-exempt organization.Whether there isn?t enough time to become tax-exempt, or the group chooses to not go through the lengthy and costly process, many find themselves unable to apply for grants or assistance that could truly benefit the people and communities they serve.
With these situations in mind, the need for a new non-profit entity, that would benefit and support Clark County citizens and communities, will be explored on Thursday, October 24th at the Loyal City Hall meeting room.
Anyone interested in learning more about the purpose and structure of a proposed Clark County Community Foundation, is invited to attend a meeting at either 3:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. on October 24th.
Finding a way, to help fund local and county?wide needs or projects, has been discussed at various times by many Clark County citizens. In an attempt to help move the concept forward, Shelia Nyberg, Executive Director of the Clark County Economic Development Corporation, along with interested citizens, have compiled information that will be presented for discussion at the October 24th meeting in Loyal.
