Many Items Discussed at Loyal School Board Meeting

-The Loyal School Board discussed some important topics at their meeting on Wednesday.They approved the purchase of financial management software from Baird in Eau Claire and approved a $745,000 line of credit at the bank which they do every year.
The board also hired two people for two teacher aid positions, approved a 2.07% salary increase for their teachers and they swore in Jeff Acker as a new board member.
They approved several policies and had the second reading for 3 others; they discussed the Race to the Top Grant that Loyal, along with several other area districts, applied for through CESA 10. The board also reviewed Loyal?s School Report Card.
Finally, the board has set two possible meeting dates to approve the levy this year, but that depends on some extra aid Walker is trying to distribute. The meetings will be on October 29th if nothing changes and November 4th if his plan goes through.
