NEW INFO: Names Released In Vehicle Crash Near Neillsville

Names have been released in deadly crash near Neillsville.The Clark County Sheriff's Office says Shannon Melvin, 39, of Neillsville died in the crash. His passenger, Ana Hannon-Abraira, 36, of Neillsville, was severely injured.
According to the Clark County Sheriff?s Department, just after 1am on Wednesday morning they received a report about a vehicle driving through yards in the area of Grand Avenue and South Mound Road.
A Sheriff?s Deputy was headed east on South Mound Road when the vehicle approached the deputy heading west at a high rate of speed, crossed the center line and almost hit the squad car.
As the deputy pursued the vehicle, the vehicle entered the south ditch, about ? of a mile west of County Highway G, and overturned multiple times before coming to stop on its wheels.
This is Clark County?s eighth traffic fatality.
