Greenwood Residents Approve Levy at School District's Annual Meeting

-The Greenwood School District held their Annual Meeting on Monday evening.In taxes, the Greenwood District has budgeted $2,256,049 which is an increase just shy of $188,000 from last year?s $2,068,131.56.
In state aid, the district figured how much they will receive for this school year, but keep in mind that the number isn?t final as the state will not certify the amount until October 15th. For the 2013-2014 budget, the district will see $2,095,481.00 compared to $2,305,206.00 for the previous year.
Expenditure for the upcoming school year did decrease by a small amount for Greenwood compared to last year. This year, the district is expecting expenditures to be $4,964,615.00 compared to last year?s $4,975,756.43. The decrease comes to just over $11,000.
In the end, the board and the few residents present approved the 2013-2014 levy of $2,252,049.
