Energy Savings at the Loyal School Board Meeting

-The Loyal School District has saved energy under CESA 10?s Energy Conservation Program.The report from their board meeting on Wednesday said the district has saved 4% on their electrical costs and 4% on their gas costs.
The board also gave the Oath of Office to their newest board member, Dan Zimmerman and they elected Deb Roedel as the new Vice President.
The board approved their graduation date for Saturday, May 24th of 2014 and they approved the next readings of several policies including privacy in the locker room, staff use of corporal punishment, technology concerns for student with special needs, parents rights, and programs for students with disabilities. The first readings of the computer use policy, gifted and talented policy, professional development opportunities and curriculum development were also approved.
Finally, the board approved to extend a $2,000 stagnate to support staff that choose not use the health insurance. They do the same thing with the teachers.
