Vietnam Tribute, Fragments, Celebrates 25th Anniversary at The Highground

-It was a day of education and healing at The Highground as they celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the Vietnam Tribute, Fragments.The colors were presented by members of American Legions from Wausau, Plover, Boyd, Augusta and even the Pala Veterans from the Pala Band Mission Indians from California.
Invocation was read by Chaplain James Seim, a Vietnam Veteran. Guest speakers included Volunteer General Manager Kirk Rodman, words from Tom Miller the founder of The Highground who was unable to attend, Howard Sherpe an original board member from when The Highground was started, Steve Piotrowski the first executive director of The Highground, Robert Kanyusik who sculpted Fragments and Don Quicker the senior board member of The Highground, who?s been there since the beginning.
Tears were shed and laughs were shared as people celebrated the anniversary of Fragments. And as a bald eagle circled over the heads of those in attendance, it truly was a day of education and healing.
