Name of Man Involved With Taylor County Shooting Released

-The Taylor County Sheriff?s Department has released the name of the man involved with the shooting of a Taylor County Sheriff?s Deputy.On Sunday evening in Westboro, which is north of Medford, Taylor County Sheriff?s Deputy Chad Kowalczyk made contact with 27-year-old Alexander Schneider as a result of a violation regarding a court ordered injunction.
During that time, Kowzlczyk came under fire and was injured by Schneider.
Schneider ran after the incident prompting a manhunt by local authorities. He was caught just after 9pm on Sunday evening. The Medford Police Department as well as the Clark, Marathon, Eau Claire, Lincoln, Chippewa and Price County Sheriff?s Offices all assisted with the incident.
Schneider is currently being held in the Lincoln County jail and Officer Kowalczyk is recovering at an area hospital.
