Taylor County Sheriff's Department Arrests Man After Sunday Evening Manhunt

-The Taylor County Sheriff?s Department has taken a man into custody following a manhunt that occurred Sunday evening in Westboro, which is north of Medford.According to the sheriff?s department, an officer made contact with the 27-year-old man as a result of a violation regarding a court ordered injunction.
During that time, the officer came under fire and was injured by the 27-year-old.
The man was caught just after 9pm on Sunday evening. The Medford Police Department as well as the Clark, Marathon, Eau Claire, Lincoln, Chippewa and Price County Sheriff?s Offices all assisted with the incident.
The man was booked into the Lincoln County jail and his name is not being released at this time.
The officer that was shot is recovering at an area hospital and his name is being withheld at this time as well.
