Business as Usual at Owen City Council Meeting

-It was business as usual at the Owen City Council Meeting last week.Owen resident Charles Milliren requested that the four way stop sign on Altenburg & Bjornstad be reduced to two stop signs on Bjornstad and allowing through traffic on Altenburg.
Also, resident Curtiss Deering requested the Council make a decision regarding if he can set up his Brat Stand business in the Mill Pond Park. The Owen City council will address both issues at their next meeting.
The council also agreed to increase wages to Police Chief Andrew Schade to $20/hour and Officer John Stubbe to $18.03/hour and they approved Resolution #2013-30 authorizing the sale of Lot 3 in the East Industrial Park to Steve and Jessica Bohl.
The council also approved the insurance renewal package from the League of WI Municipal Insurance.
