Rumors Abound! Is Scott Suder Resigning?

Monday, August 19th, 2013 -- 1:44 PM

-It is rumored that Scott Suder may resign from his post as the 69th District Representative after holding the position for 14 years.

A report circulated in the Milwaukee Journal last week, from sources with knowledge of the incident, stated Suder may accept a new position with the Public Service Commission for better pay.

Local republicans say they heard for some time now that Suder may not finish his current term and they are looking for candidates to run in a special election.

According to the Milwaukee Journal, Rep. Bill Kramer, R-Waukesha, and Rep. Dean Knudson, R-Hudson, are openly campaigning to replace Suder as the Assembly majority leader.

If Suder were to resign, it would force Gov. Scott Walker to issue an executive order calling for a special election to fill the vacant seat to be held 62 to 77 days later.
