Clark County Fairest of the Fair, Candidate 5

Monday, August 5th, 2013 -- 9:06 AM

-With the Clark County Fair happening this week a new Fairest of the Fair will be crowned on Wednesday.

There are seven candidates competing for the title this year each from a different part of Clark County.

Hillary Briski, of Withee, wants to continue her education at North Central Technical College and she?s being sponsored by B&B Acers.

Miss Briski has shown many animals at the Clark County Fair in the past and she also likes to help in other areas of the barn, even if she isn?t showing those animals. She has received several awards in the past for showing animals. She?s received the Showman Ship trophy and a plaque for Individual Herdsmanship.

Because off all the time she spends on the farm working, Miss Briski hasn?t been able to volunteer as much as she?d like to, but she has worked with House of Friends, VBS at her church and singing with her family and friends at the Clark County Health Care Center.

Miss Briski is employed on a dairy farm as a relief milker and field hand. She also works on a goat dairy farm as a herdsman. When she does have some free time, she likes to sing, draw, paint, make jewelry, design clothes, woodwork and do some gardening.

Miss Briski was homeschooled and received her 12th grade GED and, as I mentioned, she plans on going to school at North Central Technical College where she will pursue a degree in Agriculture Business. She hopes to use that degree to become a farm manager and, one day, one or joint own her own farm.
