Change of Venue Denied for Stanley Prison Inmate's Trial

-A change of venue was denied for a Stanley Prison inmate accused of attacking a guard.In April of last year, Paul Golden confronted a female guard during a contraband search and attacked her and another guard. Both guards suffered minor injuries in that incident.
Golden has two felony charges of battery by prisoner filed against him.
During a motion hearing on Friday of last week, Golden and his attorney wanted to change the location of the upcoming trial.
The Chippewa County District Attorney believed there was no reason to change the location and the judge agreed.
Golden?s future court proceedings will remain in Chippewa County and his scheduled to go to trial for the incident on September 13th.
