Wood County Boy Okay After Being Hit By A Car

-A 5-year-old Wood County boy is okay after being hit by a car.

The accident happened just before 4:30 on Sunday on Taylor Avenue in Babcock.

The boy, Cale Seivers of Wisconsin Rapids, crossed the road between a parked car on the south side of Taylor Avenue walking into traffic and right into the car?s path. The car was driven by 35-year-old Allen Wagler of Pittsville.

They young boy was hit by the car and taken to the hospital for possible injuries. Witnesses, however, did say that Wagler had nearly come to a complete stop before accidentally hitting the young boy.

The 5-year-old Seivers was checked over and released from the hospital. The driver of the vehicle was not injured as well.
