Hot and Humid Weather in Central Wisconsin

-It?s going to be hot here in Central Wisconsin today and for the rest of this week.Not only will we have temperatures reach into the upper 80?s and low 90?s, but we?ll also face several days of high humidity.
There are several things you can do to help fight off the heat.
If you?re going to be outside try and stay in a shaded area and avoid dark colors. Wear lighter colors that will reflect the sun rather than absorb it like dark colors.
Also, drink plenty of water and don?t forget to apply sunscreen. Limit your time outdoors during the hottest periods of the day.
And, obviously, you shouldn?t leave pets or children in a vehicle on days like today. Children, the elderly and even your pets are especially affected by hot and humid days.
Heat stroke is common this time of year, so you should know the symptoms. If you suffer from a headache, fainting, confusion and elevated body temperatures you should seek medical attention.
