Marshfield Police Department Releases More Details About Fatal July 2nd Crash

-The Marshfield Police Department has provided more details about a July 2nd traffic crash that resulted in the death of a Marshfield man.Just after 4pm on Tuesday, July 2nd, Paul Weigel, age 56, was riding his bicycle on East Eighth Street and Veterans Parkway.
A semi, driven by Lawrence Danczyk, age 54 of Stevens Point, was turning right on to Veterans Parkway from East Eight Street on a red traffic signal when he struck Weigel.
Weigel was thrown from his bicycle and he was transported to the hospital by ambulance. He was pronounced dead just before 4:30.
The Marshfield Police Department said the investigation of the crash is continuing and if anyone witnessed the accident , they're asked to call the Marshfield Police Department.
