Ordinances Discussed at Recent Clark County Board of Supervisors Meeting

-An ordinance was passed at the recent Clark County Board of Supervisors meeting and another was sent back to committee.The ordinance regarding the recovery of real property taxes and costs against individuals was approved. The ordinance says that over the years, the Clark County Treasurer has handled situations regarding accrued, delinquent property taxes and costs. This ordinance will allow the treasurer to take legal action against the person responsible for the delinquency.
The second ordinance, which was sent back to committee, involved amending a Chapter 26 Firearms Ordinance.
This ordinance states that Clark County may regulate the possession and use of firearms in the county in order to preserve public safety. It was sent back to committee to be looked at again.
