Friday, June 21st, 2013 -- 7:31 AM
-Clark County ATV/UTV trails are now open and they will be open May 1st through October 31st.UTV?s are allowed on the Clark County ATV trail system during the summer months.
The Clark County Forestry and Parks Department reminds riders to please use good judgment and ride responsibly to help protect the trails from damage and reduce maintenance cost. Off-trail riding and excessive acceleration will not be tolerated and citations will be issued. These types of actions lead to substantial long-term damage and a high repair cost.
Also, the Levis Mound Hiking Trails and Biking Trails are open. But, please tread lightly in any wet areas; these trails are developed and maintained by volunteer club labor. You can buy season passes for the biking trail from Forestry and Parks if you?re interested. The Wild Rock Horse Riding Trails are also open.
Finally, the Knobby Ridge is currently undergoing trail rehabilitation. The Midwest Off-Road Trail Riders have committed to seeing Knobby Ridge repaired back into a safe and usable trail system for off-road motorcycle enthusiasts. If you are interested in helping with trail rehab and development, please contact the MOTR via email at JoinMOTR@gmail.com to volunteer and show your support.
