Greenwood School Board Prepares for the 2013-2014 School Year

-The Greenwood School Board prepared for the next school year at their Monday meeting.An actuarial study agreement was approved as it is the only company that the district was able to find that completes these studies for businesses and will help with future financial planning.
A reduction in teacher aids for the 2013-2014 school year was approved. The board reduced teacher aide Sue Venske ?Nelson. She worked in the elementary school and the district no longer requires her assistance in the building with the students.
The 2013 fall extracurricular contracts, the part time librarian contract and the 2013-2014 support staff contracts were all approved. Wages for the returning support staff for next year will be determined later.
Finally, the board approved a $250 scholarship payment to a student awarded a scholarship in the 2012 school year due to error made by past employee.
