Possible Upgrade to Neillsville School District's Softball Field

-Two Neillsville residents would like to upgrade the softball fields at the Neillsville School District.Two years ago, the district approved a similar measure for the baseball field committing $9,000 towards the $30,000 upgrade. The full 9,000 wasn?t used at the time.
Now, Brain Barth and Jerry Pfeifer would like to see a similar upgrade happen to the softball field. There would be several things that need to be done, including adding some drainage tile, fencing installation and repair, putting up gates and other items as well.
The entire project is estimated to cost over $32,000. The Neillsville board said they would be happy to support the project, but can?t commit any amount of money until they know what their budget for the next school year looks like.
Both men said that all the labor would be volunteer work and they hope to receive enough donations to cover the majority of the cost for the project.
