Wednesday, June 19th, 2013 -- 8:45 AM

-A presentation from the Superintendent started out Greenwood?s School Board Meeting on Monday.

Jennifer Vogler, Superintendent, gave a report to the board on some things going on at the district.

Mrs. Linda Turnquist has made the decision to retire from Greenwood this year. Linda started working in the Greenwood School District in the fall of 1998. Her programs and dedication to the students will be missed. The board thanked her for everything she has done to help the students be successful in the area of music.

Mr. Rick Dobbs resigned from Greenwood as well. He has accepted a position with the Black River Falls School District. The board wished him the best of luck with his new position.

Greenwood?s summer school program started on Monday, June 10. They have 91 students attending which is an increase of 24 students from last year?s summer school program.

A Data Retreat has been scheduled for July 31 ? August 1. The district will review WKCE scores, review the progress they've made with school improvement goals and implement new goals as needed. CESA representatives may assist Greenwood with the process.

Greenwood will also be reviewing their science curriculum this summer. The dates have been set for July 29 and July 30. Theresa Burzynski from CESA 10 will be guiding them through this process.

Miss Vogler also congratulated the softball team on their successful season and the baseball team on their state championship victory.
