Friends of the Fairgrounds Works Hard to Continue Fairgrounds Improvement

-Some projects are in progress at the Clark County Fairgrounds under the guidance of the Clark County Friends of the Fairgrounds Committee, but there are some that still need to be done.Some Long Term Projects that still need to be adopted include a lighting upgrade for the main building and some new entrance signs for the grounds.
Looking ahead at some projects the committee may add to their list include a possible mural on an interior wall in the main building depicting an old fair picture. They would also like new signage for grounds and they were wondering if a large event at The Highground in 2014 could be held at the fairgrounds. The committee is also considering having a Friends of the Fairgrounds Team booth at the 2013 Clark County Fair. The booth would display photos of projects done and those that need to be done.
The committee also plans on having a planning session in the early fall to reassess what is done and still needs to be done. The Committee also is going to look into doing a full spruce up of the grounds, see if any High Schools looking for Capstone projects can help, and added more bleachers to the grandstand area for events.
During a joint meeting with the Forestry and Parks Department, it was decided that the committee is going to take the list out to the public and if anyone wants to ?adopt? a project that needs to be done, you can.
