County Board hears Highway Report

The Clark County Board of Supervisors heard the 2012 Highway Department Annual Report.The report broke down the different departments within the overall Highway Department. It also provided a look at the number of employees for the past several years.
It also broke down the dollars spent on routine maintenance for the past several years on the various highway structures. Routine maintenance includes mowing, weed control, trash pickup, patching potholes, etc., etc.
Other aspects like construction work and work for local governments was included in the report as well.
Over all, the Highway Department was usually just a few hundred dollars over in their expenses compared to their budget. The department also had just over $300,000 in purchases for 2012.
