Most Road Construction to Cease Noon Today for Impending Holiday Travel

-To help holiday travelers reach their destination safely and efficiently, construction work on most major highway projects will be suspended during the three-day Memorial Day weekend, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.Most highway construction in work zones will cease by noon today and will not resume until 6am on Tuesday, May 28.
Some projects that may affect your travel this weekend include areas of I-94, WI-29 and I-39/51 in Marathon County and WI-73 in Wood County. There are some other areas as well, depending on where you?re going.
Also, law enforcement agencies throughout Wisconsin will be out in force during the holiday weekend to crackdown on unbuckled drivers and passengers as part of the "Click It or Ticket" mobilization, which runs until June 2.
