Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves Base Wage Increase

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved an increase in base wages for county employees on Tuesday.Due to ACT 10, the county had to bargain in ?good faith? for a base wage increase for employees. Several different employee groups received a 1% increase in their wages which, as one supervisor pointed out, is just a small portion of the county?s budget.
The paraprofessional employees, social worker employees, courthouse employees, highway employees and non-represented officials all received this increase.
Some departments had more employees than others and the cost of the increase ranged from 9,000 to 23,000 dollars.
