Stanley Man Accidentally Shoots Himself

-A Stanley man was accidentally shot himself early Tuesday morning.Eric Messing, age 42, was moving a .22 caliber rifle into his home when he allegedly tripped, causing the rifle to fire and he hit himself in the neck.
The wound was non-life-threatening and Messing was able to talk to police and rescue officials when they arrived at his home.
Both Messing and witnesses said that the firing was accidental and no foul play is expected.
Messing was transported to the Mayo Hospital in Eau Claire and his current condition is unknown.
No one else was hurt in the incident.
