-Two Marshfield men abandoned their vehicle when they thought they were going to be pulled over.Just before 2:00am early Monday morning, two men who appeared to be intoxicated were about to get into a vehicle on North Central Avenue.
An officer on patrol asked the men if they had a safe ride home and they walked away from the vehicle.
A few minutes later, the officer saw the same vehicle pull out of the parking lot and head south on Maple Avenue. The officer began to follow the vehicle.
The two men pulled into an alley that was blocked by a parked semi-truck. The men stopped, left the vehicle running and ran away.
The vehicle was towed and there was no word on whether the two men were caught.
