Presentation at Recent Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-The Elementary Staff gave a presentation to start off the recent Owen-Withee School Board Meeting.Brandi Tranberg, Susan Nelson and Lance Batchelor did a presentation on what the elementary PLC groups have been doing this year.
Miss Tranberg, 3rd grade teacher at Owen Withee, discussed the book study that started this year and the pacing calendars that each grade level created and how the groups have now moved into using data, STAR, Quarterly Assessments, WKCE scores, etc., to evaluate how students are doing, identify students who are struggling and creating interventions to help improvement.
Miss Nelson, Title 1 teacher at Owen-Withee, went more in depth on the STAR assessment, what data it can generate and how it can be used to develop interventions and identify students who may need Tier II-type interventions.
Finally, Mr. Batchelor, Owen-Withee Elementary Principal, wrapped up the presentation by talking about the RTI initiatives going on in the elementary and how they fit in the PLC program.
