Officer's Report at Recent Neillsville City Council Meeting

Friday, April 12th, 2013 -- 8:05 AM

-Police Chief Brad Lindner gave an officer?s report at the Tuesday Neillsville City Council Meeting.

The overnight parking restrictions have been discontinued so people can park in residential spots again, but it was noted that if they plows needed to get out again, people would need to move their vehicles.

Chief Lindner also said that their new officer is doing well and is currently in the shadow phase. That means that he?s riding alone now, but he is on the same shift as another officer that can offer assistance if need be. He will be on his own completely by Monday. The Neillsville Police Department will then be up to full strength.

Finally, Chief Lindner mentioned the house fire on 15th Street that occurred on Tuesday and the department is still waiting for their new car. However, the old one has been stripped and will be sold in an auction service.
