Neillsville FFA Members Have Great Preformance at Agricultural Techniques Contest

-Twenty-five Neillsville FFA members traveled to River Falls on Saturday, April 6 for the Agricultural Techniques Judging Contest.

The contest was held at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls campus. The purpose of the contest is to show the variety of knowledge that FFA members gain in their agriculture classes.

The participants included Julia Heiman, Sydney Miller, Jenna Pavlac and Molly Dolle for Dairy Judging, Shyla Salisbury, Jessica Enstad, Nicky Langreck and Janalee Kapusta for Floriculture, Sarah Clough, Caleb Holger, Tony Kleinschmidt and Miles Voss for Forestry, Samantha Larrabee, Shania Millard, Dakota Decorah and Shyann Millard for Livestock Judging, Taran Brody, Carla Byrne, Julie Venne for Veterinary Science, Jessica Hazen, Venessa Grabowski, Allyssa Carney and Elyse Kipfer for Wildlife and Brady Coulthard and Paul Miller for Middle School Agriscience.

The Forestry team placed 10th and will be advancing to the State FFA Judging contest in late April. Team members Sarah Clough placed 16th and Caleb Holger placed 20th.

The Veterinary Science team placed 8th and also advanced to State FFA Judging. Team members Taran Brody placed 11th, Carla Byrne placed 20th and Julie Venne placed 25th.

Finally, the Middle School Agriscience team tied for first place team. Brady Coulthard was the 1st place individual at the contest. Paul Miller placed 10th individually.
