Granton Man Sentenced for Criminal Trespassing

-A Granton man was found guilty of criminal trespassing.In September of 2012, Terry VandeBerg called the Clark County Sheriff?s Department saying he had found the remnants of a meth lab in an abandoned home he had permission to ?scrap? from.
The items ended up being medical supplies left in the home from the previous owner, but the sheriff?s department suspected that VandeBerg wasn?t telling the truth. In reality, VandeBerg did not have permission to be on the property and he was intoxicated.
VandeBerg was found guilty, due to a no contest plea, of three misdemeanor charges including criminal trespass to a dwelling, theft of moveable property, and criminal damage to property.
VandeBerg was sentenced to two years? probation and owes the courts over 700 dollars in fines.
