Auburndale School Discovers Threat

-The Auburndale School District is giving parents the option to send their students to school today.A threat was discovered at the school saying that a student was going to bring a gun to class, however, after an investigation the threat was determined false.
District officials did talk with the student and found there was no way the student could get a weapon.
The police will have a higher presence at the school today, not in it, but around the area. If parents keep their children home the district will not penalize the student with an absence.
