Charges Filed Against Stanley Man for Standoff

-Charges have been filed against the Stanley man that started a standoff in the city.According to the Stanley Police Department, the standoff with Joshua Walters, age 23, began when his girlfriend arrived at their home and discovered he was making methamphetamine. She told him she was leaving and he told his girlfriend he would kill her and his family if she left. She did manage to escape and get to the neighbors, but he remained.
After four hours, the police fired tear gas into the home, forced their way in and arrested Walters.
Walters has charges of recklessly endangering safety among other filed against him. He will appear in court in March.
