Friends of the Fairgrounds Meeting, Part 1

-The Friends of the Fairgrounds group met at the Apple Valley Bar and Restaurant on Monday afternoon.The group went over the simple projects that can be done at the grounds once the weather improves. One item that some at the meeting saw problematic was the removing of stalls in the cattle barn.
An individual in attendance said that would cause a lot of problems for the horse show. A member of the Forestry and Parks department stated that the item was old and shouldn?t be on the list.
A representative from the UW-Extension brought to the attention of the group that the Loyal FFA was willing to volunteer to build the retaining wall and flower bed around the flagpole at the fairgrounds.
The FFA apparently has the money and resources to do it and they're looking for a service project. The individuals at the group were very pleased and agreed to let the Loyal FFA do the project.
