Tuesday, February 26th, 2013 -- 8:21 AM

-The EMSI Analyst Report for Clark County takes a deeper look at the GRP of the county for 2011.

The GRP, or Gross Regional Product, for Clark County is figured out by adding the earnings, property income, and taxes on production.

In 2011, the earnings for the county were almost 550 million dollars and the property income for the same year was just shy of 230 million dollars. The taxes on production were over 60 million dollars.

When those numbers are added all together, you get a total GRP just over 800 million dollars.

The job industry with the most GRP earnings was manufacturing with almost 220 million dollars or 27% of the total GRP. In second place was the ag, forestry, fishing, and hunting industry with close to 131 million dollars or 16% of the total GRP. In third place was the government with over 93 million dollars or 11% of the total GRP.
