Economic Development Commission Meeting Discussed at Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The minutes from a recent Economic Development Commission Meeting was discussed at the Tuesday Neillsville City Council Meeting.The commission discussed an invitation given to them by Kwik Trip regarding a meeting the company is going to hold here in Neillsville at the end of the month. The meeting will be an informative one, letting people know about using natural gas to fuel their vehicles.
They also discussed the additional 2500 dollars taken from the Economic Development line of budget and used to pay for a small portion of a PA system put in at the Fairgrounds. As reported earlier this week, the common council did approve it.
The commission also discussed the Neillsville Airport. The airport committee discussed funding with the finance committee, an amount of 10,000 dollars. The city will be working with the Clark County Economic Development Corporation to properly use that money.
Finally, Mayor Mabie gave an update regarding the city?s Comprehensive Plan. He said that surveys were sent with the utility bills and the results from them will allow them to move forward.
