Owen-Withee Principal's Report at Recent School Board Meeting

-Owen-Withee Elementary Principal Lance Batchelor gave a report at the recent Owen-Withee School Board Meeting.Lance reported to the Board on the make-up of the elementary Christmas Concert, which occurred on Dec. 17th, and thanked Denise Swartz for her work with the students.
The elementary students raised $1100 to donate to Project Linus who in turn donated fleece blankets to the students at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
The Elementary CORE Reading team met to narrow down the possible reading series from five to two. The team will now research the two remaining series to determine which one will best meet the needs of the Owen-Withee students.
Lance also reported that the Star Lab will be at Owen-Withee on January 22 ? 28 and that the Accelerated Reading outing that was going to take place on January 25th has been postponed until we get some snow.
Finally, 2nd quarter report cards will go home on January 25th and Child Development Days will be held on February 6th for incoming 4K students.
