Resignations and a Snow Day Discussed at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-Resignations and a snow day were discussed at last week?s Owen-Withee School Board Meeting.The Board approved the resignation request of Steve Kadolph from the assistant football coaching potion. The Board thanked Steve for his years of service to the District and to the students of Owen-Withee as a coach.
The Board also approved the resignation request of Kathy Winger from the Head Track coaching position effective immediately. The Board also thanked Kathy for her years of service as both the Assistant and Head Track Coach.
Finally, the Board discussed the second snow day of the 12-13 school year which occurred on December 20th.
By policy, the first snow day is not made up, but snow days after the first are up to the discretion of the Board.
District Administrator Bob Houts notified the Board that the district has enough days and minutes of instruction built into their calendar that they would not have to make up the day to meet the Department of Public Instructions standards.
The Board unanimously approved not making up the Dec. 20th snow day.
