Dangerous Wind Chills Tonight Into Sunday Morning
Saturday, January 19th, 2013 -- 8:22 AM
A wind chill advisory is in effect from midnight tonight until 9 am Sunday morning.A wind chill advisory means that very cold air and strong winds will combine to generate low wind chills. This result in frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken. If you must venture outdoors.....make sure you wear a hat and gloves.
The combination of cold air and 10-20 mph winds will lead to wind chill indices in the 20 to 25 degrees below zero range after midnight into tomorrow morning in our area.
These conditions will improve late Sunday morning as the winds diminish and temperatures rise.
