School Board Elections and More at Owen-Withee School Board Meeting

-School Board elections, CESA 10, and the Education Convention were discussed at the Owen-Withee School Board Meeting.Three candidates have submitted papers for the two Owen-Withee School Board seats up for election this spring.
Because there are three candidates for two seats, they will not need to have a primary in February.
The Board conducted a blind drawing for the position on the ballot with the order to be Rick Eloranta at number 1, Mark Gordon at 2nd, and Dean Schmelzer in 3rd.
The Board discussed some of the services the district is purchasing from CESA 10 listed in the annual contract. With a few minor adjustments from this year?s contract the Board approved the 2013-14 CESA 10 contract as presented.
Finally, three board members will be attending the WASB Annual Education Convention in Milwaukee January 22 ? 25. Final plans for those attending were discussed, including housing, transportation and the convention program.
