Wisconsin Rapids Man Makes Court Appearance for Kidnapping

-A Wisconsin Rapids man made an appearance in Wood County Court on Wednesday for kidnapping charges.Back in December, Lee Winchester, age 30, got into an argument with a woman, forced his way into a vehicle after she locked herself in side, and drove away. He finally let her go in Marshfield.
Winchester appeared in court with his attorney Kate Frigo and they waived a preliminary hearing.
Winchester has charges of kidnapping, taking and driving a vehicle without consent, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property filed against him, all as a repeat offender.
Winchester remains in the Wood County Jail on a $10,000 cash bond. If convicted of all the charges, he faces a maximum of 52.5 years in prison.
He will appear in court again in February.
