Wednesday, January 9th, 2013 -- 8:39 AM
-The Neillsville City Council Meeting was short, but sweet on Tuesday.Besides the council discussing hotel tax permits, a Class B liquor license, a soda water license, and an operator?s license, they discussed the jobs done by the public works crew.
The usual cemetery work, snow and ice removal, trimming of trees and bushes, and maintaining and now the removing of Christmas decorations was done.
The works crew also repaired a water main brake by the County Club entrance on Division Street. The sewer lift station also had some repairs done as well.
Dave Flynn, Director of Public Works, sent out a letter to all commercial and industrial businesses instructing them that they need to have their water system inspected for cross connections.
The inspection is mandated by the DNR and must be followed. The city can do residential inspections, but not commercial or industrial.
