Prom, Coaching Positions, and More at Granton School Board Meeting

-The Granton School District held their board meeting on Monday.The board approved a request by a student to look into holding Granton?s prom on a yearly basis versus every other year like they do now. The student will report back to the board on the findings.
The board also approved the hiring of several coaching positions. Amanda Smagacz was hired as the Assistant Girls? Basketball Coash, John Jarecki as the Assistant Boys? Basketball Coach, and Peter Devine as the Head Varsity Baseball Coach.
A request for credit reimbursement was approved and the board also discussed the employee contracts, but no action was taken.
A salary increase for the National Honor Society Advisor was approved and the board also discussed the Falling Cooping Agreements, but no action was taken.
Finally, the board had a discussion on the staff handbook, but no action was taken and they approved a resolution asking the federal government about the funding of public education.
