Red Cross Collects 89 Pints of Blood

-89 pints of life saving blood were collected at Monday?s Red Cross blood drive at the American Legion here in Neillsville .

The Red Cross wants to extend the deepest appreciation to all those that donated blood and the volunteers within the community that helped with the event.

The 89 pints of blood collected could save the lives of over 267 patients in need.

Several donors have given enough blood to total in the gallons amount.

16 gallons have been given by William Poeschel and Aaron Yoder has donated a total of 10 gallons. Jenny Kronberger has given 9 gallons and Terry Opelt has donated 3 gallons. Barbara Comstock has donated 2 gallons and Mathew Marty has donated a gallon.

Some new and 1st time donors at the blood drive included Deanna Heiman, Megan Coocbay, Christine Oberholtzer, Gideon Swartzentruber, and John Bartell.
